Ranatec introduces digitally tunable RI 282 Band Pass Filter

2024-10-09

Gothenburg, Sweden, October 9, 2024 — Ranatec, a part of Qamcom Group and progressive creator of test and measurement equipment for RF and microwave applications, today introduced the digitally tunable RI 282 band pass filter. The new active band pass filters, a variant of Ranatec’s series of tunable band reject filters, provide exceptional performance and are digitally tunable between 600-6000 MHz.

The RI 282 band pass filter is the latest addition to Ranatec’s broad product offering. It is part of the next generation of band pass filters, and is their latest innovation empowering leading electronics manufacturers to perform the enhanced testing that places their most advanced products in pole position for market.

About the RI 282 band pass filter

The RI 282 is a high-performance, electronically tunable, active band pass filter, fully equipped to conform to all existing sub-6 mobile bands, achieved by benchmark microwave design, digital signal processing and use of state-of-the-art components. The filter can be selected at the ordering stage with high-end requirements that will be unaffected over the complete tuning range.

Application

  • For testing of wide frequency range devices when out-of-band signals need to be suppressed.
  • For generating a pure input signal with low noise outside of the band.

RI 282 Features & Performance

FAQ

A band pass filter allows signals within a specific frequency range to pass while attenuating frequencies outside that range. It is essential in RF and microwave applications to isolate desired signals and reduce interference.

A tunable band reject filter , also known as a notch filter, attenuates a specific frequency band while allowing all other frequencies to pass. Unlike a band pass filter, tunable band reject filters suppress unwanted signals rather than isolating a desired range.

A digitally tunable filter allows users to adjust its frequency range electronically, without manual reconfiguration. This enables greater flexibility, precision, and automation in RF testing and signal processing applications.
